Candle Care Tips

Did you know you have to take care of your candles?!

The first initial lighting of a wood wick candle is a little different process than a standard cotton wick.

Once you have this down you will never want to go back to traditional cotton wicks!

Lighting a wood wick is similar to lighting a real wood fire. The wicks needs to absorb some of the wax through the wick for it to catch properly and stay lit. We recommend holding the lighter and working back and forth slowly for the wax to draw up & to catch the wick.

To extend the life of your candles, keep them smelling amazing, & most importantly burn evenly we recommend the following quick tips:

1. Trim your wick to 1/4″ allows for the safest & even burn!

2. Let your candle burn for 2-4 hours at a time. This allows for an even burn every time you light it

3.  Stop burning your candles when there’s about 1/4 inch of wax left (this means it’s time for a new candle!)

Bonus Storage Tip:

Candles like the dark, always store your candles in a cool, dry, and dark place. Storing candles in direct sunlight or harsh indoor lighting for long periods of time may cause them to fade or warp. Even though all of our candles are white, this is still a good tip to follow!
